IELTS Mock Test in Noida: Computer-Based Practice at Home

A full mock is the closest you can get to test day without paying the exam fee. With IELTS Learning you can sit one at your desk in Noida, on screens built to behave like the computer-delivered IELTS, and see your Listening and Reading bands the moment you finish.

  • 15 full mock tests
  • 88 Listening and 52 Reading practice sets
  • AI band feedback on Writing and Speaking
  • 1-to-1 teacher sessions from ₹299

Why full mock tests matter

Practice sets teach skills. Mock tests teach stamina, timing and nerves, which are what usually let students down on the day.

The Listening, Reading and Writing sections run back to back for about two hours and forty minutes with no proper break. Many candidates who score well on individual sets find their concentration falling apart in Reading Passage 3 or in the last fifteen minutes of Task 2. You only discover that by sitting the whole thing.

Mocks also reveal timing problems that sets hide. You may be fine on a single passage but spend 28 minutes on Passage 1 when you know you have the whole hour, leaving too little for the hardest text.

How our computer-based mock works

Each of our 15 full mocks has Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking, and the screens copy the features of the computer-delivered test:

  • A visible timer for each section, and a question navigator along the bottom so you can jump between questions.
  • Flag for review, so you can mark a doubtful answer and come back to it.
  • Highlighter and notes on Reading passages, as in the real test.
  • Drag-and-drop for Matching Headings and word-box summaries.
  • Instant band scores for Listening and Reading, with every answer explained.
  • AI-estimated bands for Writing on the four official criteria, and AI feedback on your Speaking transcript.

The free sample mock contains all four sections and needs no card. It is on the practice tests page.

Sitting a mock under real conditions in Noida

Exam conditions are harder to create in a Noida flat or hostel than people expect. Construction, the society generator, a pressure cooker and a group chat can all wreck a Listening section. A little setup helps.

  1. Pick your slot carefully. Early weekend mornings are quietest in most Expressway and Noida Extension societies. In Knowledge Park hostels, late morning on a non-exam day may be calmer than evenings.
  2. Use wired or good wireless headphones. The computer-delivered Listening test uses headphones, so practise the same way.
  3. Charge everything and plug the laptop in. If your area has the occasional power cut, make sure the router is on the inverter.
  4. Phone in another room, notifications off on the laptop.
  5. Do Listening, Reading and Writing in one sitting. Only take a short break before Speaking, which is on a separate session in the real exam anyway.
  6. Use the full 60 minutes for Writing, around 20 for Task 1 and 40 for Task 2. Write by typing if you are booking the computer-delivered test.

Using your results

A mock is only as useful as the hour you spend after it.

  • Look at Listening and Reading by question type, not just the total. Losing six marks on map labelling tells you something very different from losing six marks spread across every part.
  • Open your Mistake Notebook. Every wrong answer is saved there automatically, so you can redo them a week later and see whether the error repeats.
  • Read the Writing feedback criterion by criterion. If Task Response is at 7 but Grammatical Range and Accuracy is at 5.5, you know where the next fortnight goes.
  • Put your section scores into the Band Score Calculator to see how the overall band is rounded.

If you feel the AI feedback on a particular essay or recording needs a second opinion, a 20-minute online teacher session (from ₹299) is a good way to check it.

How many mocks should you take?

There is no magic number, but a pattern that works for many students is:

  • One at the start, to find your baseline.
  • One every week or ten days during the main preparation period, with targeted practice in between.
  • Two in the final fortnight, at the same time of day as your booked test.

For most people that adds up to between five and eight full IELTS mock tests. Taking a mock every day usually means you have no time to fix what the last one showed. Full Access (₹999 for 2 months) includes all 15, so you can spread them out without running short.

From mock to real test in Noida

Test sessions are held in and around Noida in both computer-delivered and paper formats; check current dates and fees on the official IDP or British Council websites. If you choose the paper test, remember you get 10 minutes to transfer Listening answers instead of 2 minutes to check them, so adjust one of your later mocks. A free IELTS mock test is the quickest way to find out where you stand, so register and book a quiet morning for it.

Questions from students in Noida

Is the free IELTS mock test really a complete test?

Yes. The free sample mock includes Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking, and no card is needed. It gives you instant Listening and Reading bands and AI feedback on your Writing and Speaking.

Can I take your computer-based IELTS practice test on my phone during my commute?

The platform works on phones, and practice sets suit a metro ride well. For a full mock, use a laptop at a desk with headphones, because the real computer-delivered test is taken on a full-size screen and you will want the same typing and layout experience.

I have the paper-based test booked. Are your mocks still useful?

Yes. The questions, timings and section structure follow the same official format. Just practise writing your essays by hand for one or two mocks and allow the 10 minutes for transferring Listening answers.

My mock band is lower than I expected. Should I move my test date?

Look at the gap and the time left. If you are half a band short with six weeks to go, focused practice often closes it; if you are a full band or more away with two weeks left, it may be worth checking the rescheduling rules on the official booking site.

How is the Speaking section handled in an online mock test?

You see the questions for Parts 1, 2 and 3 on screen, with a one-minute preparation and two-minute timer for the cue card, and you record your answers. AI feedback on the transcript follows; for a human examiner-style check, book a teacher session.
