IELTS Mock Test in Indore: Practise the Computer Test at Home

A full mock test is the closest thing to sitting the real IELTS without paying the fee. Our tests run on screens that behave like the computer-delivered exam, so you can rehearse at home in Indore and walk into the test room already familiar with the format.

  • 15 full mock tests
  • 88 Listening and 52 Reading practice sets
  • AI band feedback on Writing and Speaking
  • 1-to-1 teacher sessions from ₹299

Why a full mock test matters

Practising one question type at a time builds skill. A full mock test builds something different: stamina, timing and the ability to stay calm for nearly three hours. Many students who score well on individual sets lose marks in the real exam because their concentration fades in Reading Passage 3 or they run short of time on Writing Task 2.

A mock test tells you three things a practice set cannot:

  • Your real band under pressure, not your band when you stop to think.
  • Where your time goes, especially in Reading and Writing.
  • Which module drags your overall score down, so you know where to spend the next week.

How our mock tests work

IELTS Learning has 15 complete mock tests, each with Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking, available for both Academic and General Training. The screens are designed to work like the computer-delivered IELTS:

  • A countdown timer and a question navigator along the bottom of the screen.
  • Flag for review, so you can mark a question and come back.
  • A highlighter and notes for Reading passages.
  • Drag-and-drop for Matching Headings and word-box summaries.
  • Listening plays once, with answers in question order, as in the real test.

When you finish, Listening and Reading are marked straight away with a band score. Writing gets an AI-estimated band for each of the four criteria with feedback, and Speaking gets AI feedback on your transcript. Every wrong answer goes into your Mistake Notebook automatically.

The free sample mock test covers all four sections, so you can try the full experience without a card.

Taking a mock under exam conditions at home in Indore

A mock is only useful if it feels like the real thing. Home in Indore can be noisy, with family, a pressure cooker whistle, traffic on the main road or a wedding band in season. Plan around it:

  1. Choose your time. Early morning on a Sunday is usually the quietest. Tell your family you need about three hours without interruption.
  2. Use a laptop if you can. The real computer-delivered test is on a desktop screen, so typing your Writing on a keyboard is better practice than a phone.
  3. Wear wired or good wireless headphones for Listening, and keep the volume steady.
  4. Silence your phone and put it in another room. If you use it as a timer, you will check messages.
  5. No pausing, no dictionary, no restarting a Listening track. Treat it like an exam hall.
  6. Do Speaking last, as a recording, and do not re-record your answers.

If power cuts are a concern in your area, keep your laptop charged and your router on a backup if you have one, so a short outage does not break the test.

Using your results

The band score is the start, not the end. After each mock:

  • Listening and Reading: open every wrong answer. Sort errors into types: spelling, misheard number, NOT GIVEN confusion, ran out of time. The pattern tells you what to practise.
  • Writing: read the criterion with the lowest estimated band first. If Task Achievement is low, the fix is planning, not vocabulary.
  • Speaking: listen to your recording. Count the long pauses and the times you repeated a phrase.

Then put your module scores into the Band Score Calculator to see how they round to an overall band. Remember that a single weak module can bring the overall score down, and many universities and visas ask for a minimum in each module as well as overall.

How many mock tests should you take?

There is no magic number, but a pattern that works for many students:

  1. One mock at the start to find your baseline.
  2. Practice sets for two to three weeks, focused on your weakest module.
  3. One mock every week or ten days after that, reviewed in detail.
  4. Two or three mocks in the final fortnight, spaced out so you can review each one.

Taking a mock every day without reviewing it mostly measures tiredness. Fewer mocks with careful review usually move your band further.

Questions from students in Indore

Is the free IELTS mock test complete, with all four sections?

Yes. The free sample mock test includes Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. You get instant Listening and Reading band scores and feedback on Writing and Speaking, so it gives a fair picture of where you stand before you decide anything else.

Is your mock test the same as the computer-based IELTS taken in Indore?

Our tests follow the official IELTS format and the screens work like the computer-delivered test, with a timer, question navigator, highlighter, flag for review and drag-and-drop questions. They are practice tests made by IELTS Learning, not official papers, and we are independent of the test owners.

Can I take an IELTS mock test on my phone?

Yes, the platform works on a phone, which is handy for Listening and Reading. For a full mock, a laptop is better because the real computer-delivered test uses a keyboard and a larger screen, and typing Writing answers on a phone is not good practice for the exam.

How accurate are the mock test band scores?

Listening and Reading are marked against the answer key and converted to a band, much like the real test. Writing and Speaking bands are AI estimates on the four criteria, useful for tracking progress but not identical to an examiner's mark. A 1-to-1 teacher session gives a human view when you want one.
